Birdhouse GardenKitsey Snow
On a lovely warm spring day in the greenhouse, 15 RGC members gathered to exercise the right side of their brains. Julia Cencebaugh-Kloth patiently guided us all through the process of cleaning, drilling, staining and finish-coating our beautiful gourd birdhouses. We had a wide variety of gourd shapes, sizes and colors to choose from. The size determined the type of bird we cold attract as they all have different preferences for opening size and height. All attendees had a wonderful time, the gourds are truly gorgeous and we all are converts—everyone wants to do more. Our fearless leader even did three! Now we await the arrival of our feathered friends.
